Clean surface of the block or brick before application so that the surface is free from dust, loose particles which may affect the adhesion of SILICOfix. The block or bricks must be saturated well with water before application of SILICOfix Block Jointing Mortar.

Add 8 litres to 9 litres of potable water depending upon the thickness of the joints to be built-up for one full bag of 40 kg. Add water in stages to SILICOfix and mix thoroughly until a smooth, creamy, lump-free and cohesive paste consistency is achieved. For proper aeration of the dry additives, leave the mixture to aerate for 2 minutes to 3 minutes. The mixture is now ready for use/application. Do not add extra water to the mixture than prescribed above, as addition of extra water will lead to loss of strength and create pores.

Using a proper notched trowel, apply a thin and uniform layer of SILICOfix Mortar in thickness of 2 mm to 3 mm in horizontal and vertical joints of the block and then place the block above it. Clean the excess flush material to clean the joint areas and reuse the same immediately. Continue laying the next block with the same procedure to complete the masonry wall.

Mixing :
Kaneria Block Jointing Mortar should be mixed with clear potable water. Take almost 10 to 12 litre water for making mix of one bag ( 40 Kg). Add powder to water and mix until a uniform, lump free consistency is achieved.
Application :
The mix should be spread on the surface to a uniform thickness 0f 2-3 mm. It is advised to moisten the blocks before laying.
Precautions :
KANERIA block jointing mortar contains non toxic material though care should be taken to avoid dust inhalation. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
Packaging / Storage :
KANERlA block jointing mortar is available in two types (1) Thin Bed mortar for AAC Blocks. (2) Masonry Mortar for Bricks & CC Blocks. Available in 40 kg Bag. It should be stored in dry conditions in the original unopened bags. Shelf life of the material is 6 months ir stored in dry and controlled moisture free space.
